FROM THE AIR - JACQUARD
These fabrics were inspired by the starting point of my aerial photographs. Focusing on the graphic repeats seen in fields all across the country, contrasting with the complex and intriguing textures of trees, grasses and the sea, this collection combines the two to create a modern, playful collection. They are intended for curtaining, although would equally be suitable for soft furnishings.
They have been woven on a jacquard loom, with a cotton warp and a mixture of cotton and polyester wefts. The polyester allowed me to apply colour through dye sublimation, which was important to keep the collection young, fresh and unexpected, like the market that it is intended for.
